Beginning her love affair with water from the time she could walk, Claudia’s path has naturally led to her involvement
with SCUBA. Skin diving and snorkeling from an extremely young age, she has always been at ease in the underwater world.
Claudia
first dove with SCUBA in the marine life abundant waters of St. Thomas in 1995. Her Discover Scuba experience in 20 foot waters
fed her curiosity for the world beneath. On that vacation, she went on four more dives under the supervision of a certified
instructor. When she returned to the States she hadn’t realized how much that trip would affect her future involvement
in the world of SCUBA. That was over eleven years ago!
Since her relocation to Newburgh area, fate brought her to Regional
Scuba, Inc. while delivering a paycheck to a co-worker. She saw this as a sign to get involved and immediately inquired about
classes. She achieved her Open Water Certification in the summer of 2003 and consecutively took almost every level and specialty
that was offered.
She currently holds the Divemaster certification, the first professional ranking in the diving field.
She has over 125 logged dives from different areas. Her goal is to become a PADI Instructor on many levels. Always moving
towards the next goal, she is currently working on her PADI Assistant Instructor and Emergency First Response Instructor Certifications.
Claudia prides herself on the interaction she holds with the students of Regional Scuba. Ask about any student and
she can probably tell you what they do for a living, how many kids they have and the last time they went diving! She may even
be one of the first points of contact when inquiring about classes!
